TAPPS Update - April 17, 2020

April 17, 2020

Thank you for your interest in TAPPS. As the executive director of TAPPS, I appreciate the efforts of our schools, staff members, students and their families to continue preparations to return to our spring activities.

The Executive Board and TAPPS staff have been communicating via conference calls weekly and as needed to review our status and the plan to resume activities. As the COVID 19 situation continues today, we have reached our final Spring phase. With the presidential plans shared yesterday and Governor Abbott’s address this afternoon, all schools are effectively closed through the end of the school year.

In keeping with this order and the health interests of all involved, TAPPS moves to the conclusion of our Spring activities.

The TAPPS leadership will continue our development of guidelines and parameters for our return to activities over the summer months and into the fall of 2020. We will share those plans in the next few weeks through webinars, Rank One notifications and posts on the TAPPS website, www.tapps.biz .

Thank you to our seniors who have worked hard for not only this Spring, but over the last four years. While we can no longer provide an avenue for your senior season to progress to its normal conclusion, we do wish to recognize you as you move to your next opportunities.

To our parents and fans, thank you for your support of TAPPS, our member schools and our students. We look forward to our community returning to our best new normal once health conditions allow.

Bryan Bunselmeyer

Executive Director
