Join Us for the Stephen Breen Memorial Basketball Tournament!

NCHS

Updated: Feb 27

The Stephen Breen Memorial Basketball Tournament is more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of faith, community, and the lasting legacy of Stephen Breen. From February 28 to March 8, teams from across the diocese will come together at Nolan Catholic High School to showcase their talents and support an incredible cause.

A Tournament with Purpose

This annual tournament honors the life of Stephen Breen, an alumnus of Saint Andrew Catholic School and Nolan Catholic High School. At just 13 years old, Stephen was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer. Despite the challenges he faced, he fought with courage, humor, and a deep concern for others. After his passing in 2004, the Stephen Breen Memorial Foundation was established to fulfill his wish of helping children receive a Catholic education and supporting families battling childhood cancer.
