Katie Hoang '22 Crowned Miss Teen Texas International

Congratulations to Junior Katie Hoang who competed at Miss Teen Texas International 2021 this past weekend as Miss Teen Dallas, and won! She was also awarded the Platform Achievement Award for her nonprofit, Dare to LEAD, Best Fitness, Best Interview, and Miss Congeniality. Katie is also the face of the4501, a student-led video series that covers all things Nolan Catholic. She was also our recent Campus Ministry Student Spotlight:

“Katie Hoang is a busy student at Nolan Catholic who has made a difference both at Nolan and in our greater community. At Nolan, Katie volunteers her time to help manage the men’s basketball team and volunteers as a photographer and reporter for our broadcast department. In the greater community, Katie volunteers at the Community Storehouse donation center to help sort food and clothing for the poor. Katie’s latest contribution to the greater community has been the new non-profit organization that she founded to help get high school students involved in community service. Through Dare to LEAD, Katie has helped feed the poor, provide blankets for the homeless, and raise over $4,00 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. You can learn more about Dare to LEAD or you can follow on Instagram at daretoleadorg. Katie has found a way to serve others in so many creative ways, and has truly embodied student leadership.”
