Each spring, the Nolan Catholic and Diocese of Fort Worth community comes together for one of the most meaningful and joy-filled traditions of the year, the Stephen Breen Spirit Games. More than just a day of fun and friendly competition, the Spirit Games serve as a powerful tribute to faith, resilience, and the enduring legacy of a young man who continues to inspire hearts across our Diocese.
Who Was Stephen Breen?
Stephen was a beloved student whose battle with cancer touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Though his time on earth was short, his spirit left a lasting impact. Through his example of courage, joy, and unwavering faith, Stephen taught us all what it means to live with hope and love. The Spirit Games were created in his honor to celebrate the values he embodied and to support the Stephen Breen Memorial Foundation, which provides tuition assistance and helps families fighting childhood cancer.
A Day of Faith, Fun, and Fellowship
The Spirit Games bring students from across the Diocese together on Nolan Catholic’s campus for a high-energy day of team-based activities, music, prayer, and community. The event is a reminder of the unity and joy that define Catholic education.
