Our summer camps offer students the opportunity to explore their chosen interests in a fun-filled environment. Summer Camps are available for youth (rising 3rd through 8th grade) as well as enrolled, or applied, Nolan Catholic High School students.

Summer SCHOOL
Culinary Arts I
Culinary Arts I introduces students to the fundamentals of cooking in both commercial and home kitchen settings.
Students will develop foundational skills in kitchen safety, sanitation, knife techniques, cooking methods, and
baking science. The course emphasizes hands-on learning and includes practice in food presentation and proper
sanitation protocols. Completion of a food handler’s certification is required. The skills gained in this course
prepare students for advanced culinary studies, professional kitchen work, and confident home cooking.
● Grades: 9th – 12th | Credits: 0.5 (1 semester)
● Dates: June 9 – July 3, 2025 (Monday – Thursday)
● Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
● Location: Nolan Catholic (Commons)

Health
This comprehensive course explores health and wellness through an integrated lens of physical fitness, nutrition,
and lifestyle planning. Students will engage in curriculum designed to build lifelong habits for physical and mental
well-being. Through flexible, self-paced modules, students will learn to create personal fitness and nutrition plans
suited to their goals and routines.
● Grades: 9th – 12th | Credits: 0.5 (1 semester)
● Dates: June 3 – August 3, 2025
● Location: Online (Self-paced format)
● Cost: $250
● Note: This self-paced course allows students to work independently through lessons and assignments at
their own speed. All coursework must be completed by August 3, 2025.
Communication Applications (Speech)
Beginning with an introduction that builds student understanding of the elements, principles, and characteristics
of human communication, this course offers fascinating insight into verbal and nonverbal communication. High
school students enrolled in this course will be guided through engaging lectures and interactive activities,
exploring themes in communication. The course concludes with units on informative and persuasive speeches, and
students are given the opportunity to critique and analyze speeches
● Grades: 10th – 12th | Credits: 0.5 (1 semester) (9th grade not eligible)

Introduction to Digital Media
This entry-level course introduces students to the foundational concepts and tools in digital media production.
Serving as a prerequisite for advanced Digital Media courses, this class offers exposure to animation, video
production, graphic design, illustration, and photography. Students will explore the Elements of Art, Principles of
Design, Color Theory and Digital Color Models, as well as digital media creation and file management. Hands-on
work using Adobe Photoshop CC and Adobe Premiere CC is a major component of the course.

VIKING Strength & PERFORMANCE
Incoming 9th through 12th-grade students
Nolan Catholic Summer S&C program utilizes a safe and effective training curriculum that addresses all areas of performance. It is designed to build a strong foundation in strength and performance - this camp is devised to teach and reinforce the fundamentals of strength, speed, and endurance. Proper technique and execution of all exercises will be a priority. Our goal is to make each day a positive experience for each athlete.
This summer-long program will take the correct approach to instruct female and male athletes on the proper techniques necessary to maximize their athletic potential. Utilizing a periodic training program, athletes will improve their linear speed over time. Athletes will also learn the proper mechanics of explosive power and resistance training at an age-appropriate pace. Footwork and quickness will be emphasized to improve change-of-direction skills.
