With 29 patents to his name, it’s not surprising that Derek Pearcy ’85 has spent the last 20 years designing and developing high-end cybersecurity systems for companies including Intel and McAfee. He is currently working on developing a video game based on a licensed popular card game he produced in the 1990s.

David Tompkins '86 made spaghetti for the St. Maria Goretti Spaghetti Dinner and, of course, Michael Delgado '86 was there to enjoy it.

Steve Farco '86 was honored with the 2019 Gertrude Tarpley Memorial Spirit Award for leadership in the HEB Chamber of Commerce.

The Flores Family is growing! Matt Flores ’94 and his wife, Elizabeth, welcomed Gus Matthew on Dec. 30, 2019. Gus has two siblings: Caroline (13) and Miles (10).

It's been almost a year since Caitlin Keen '10 was attacked by a dog while she was running in the park in Fort Worth. DFW's Fox 4 followed up with her as she prepares for the marathon Olympic trials in Atlanta. Caitlin is also one of the founding members of the Fort Worth Distance Project. Nick Walden '13 married Sydney Stagg on Dec. 28, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Spring Branch, TX. Other Vikings in the wedding: Cameron Elias ’13 (usher), Jake Walden ’16 (groomsman) and Ella Walden, class of ’20 (bridesmaid). Nick and Paige are living in Glenview, IL (Chicago suburb) where Nick is a Navy corpsman at Great Lakes Navy Base, and Sydney is a teacher.

Becky Fields '15 is currently student teaching in Fort Worth and will be graduating in May from Tarleton State University with a degree in Special Education.

Alexus Gandara '14 and Kallan Morano '14 were married Nov. 23, 2019 at The Olana in Hickory Creek, TX. Alexus and Kallan were high school sweethearts at Nolan Catholic and college sweethearts at the University of Oregon. After a honeymoon in Madeira, Portugal, they are now living and working in Austin, Texas.

McCaleb Taylor '15 is a youth ministry intern at First Presbyterian Church in San Antonio. He and the staff are responsible for organizing and running all of the middle and high school church activities.

Read how Avery Boley '18 assisted in the Texas A&M-Commerce Softball team 5-1 win over Arkansas. Avery will be joined by her sister, Delaney Boley, class of '20, on the field next year.

Liz Salas '19 is on the track and field team at Wheeling Jesuit University. She participated in the Mountain East Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship in February.
