Excellence at Contest

On Friday, April 5, the Viking Choirs competed in the TPSMEA Vocal Concert & Sight-Reading Contest. Each choir gave a short concert, performing the three pieces they've been preparing all semester, and then sight-read a new piece of music for a panel of judges. The choirs received ratings for their performances.

  • Vox Forte earned Excellent ratings on their concert and their sight-reading.

  • Bella Voce earned Excellent ratings on their concert and their sight-reading.

  • Nolan Camerata earned an Excellent rating on their concert and a Superior rating on their sight-reading.

On the same day, 12 choir students participated in the TPSMEA State Solo & Ensemble Contest. Seven students earned Superior ratings and five students earned Excellent ratings. Congratulations to all of our students!
