Vox Forte

Vox Forte is a tenor-bass choir for all men, grades 9-12.  This ensemble places special emphasis on fundamental techniques of choral singing. Students in Vox Forte explore and perform repertoire from all styles and time periods while building skills in music literacy, male vocal techniques, sight-reading, use of solfege, and rhythm. Vox Forte participates in four school concerts and one or two spring contests. Students in this ensemble are highly encouraged to take private voice lessons, participate in All-State auditions, and sing at school liturgies.

Bella Voce

Bella Voce is a treble choir for all women, grades 9-12. This ensemble places special emphasis on fundamental techniques of choral singing. Students in Bella Voce explore and perform repertoire from all styles and time periods while building skills in music literacy, female vocal techniques, sight-reading, use of solfege, and rhythm. Bella Voce participates in four school concerts and one or two spring contests. Students in this ensemble are highly encouraged to take private voice lessons, participate in All-State auditions, and sing at school liturgies.

Nolan Camerata

Nolan Camerata is an auditioned choir for both men and women. Membership is open to all students in grades 10-12 through an audition in the spring of the previous year. This ensemble explores and performs SATB music and advanced repertoire from all styles and time periods. There is also a continued emphasis on sight-reading, solfege, and rhythm skills, and vocal technique. Nolan Camerata participates in four school concerts and one or two spring contests, performs the National Anthem at Homecoming and Commencement, provides music for school liturgies and the Baccalaureate Mass, and auditions for the TPSMEA All-State Choir. Students are highly encouraged to take private voice lessons and audition for the TMEA All-State Choir. In addition, Nolan Camerata serves as Nolan Catholic High School’s premier vocal ambassadors within the community and performs at various community events.

nolan 12

Nolan 12 is an a cappella choir that practices after school on Wednesdays. Membership is open to all students in grades 9-12 through an audition in the fall. Students in this ensemble display high levels of musicianship through sight-reading, improvisation, and showmanship. Nolan 12 performs repertoire from all styles and time periods. This ensemble participates in 3-4 school concerts, a spring contest, and many other performances for the community.
